We’re bringing love back at this years annual Love, Wine & Chocolate event, taking place this Valentine’s Day February 14th, 2015 – and here’s 5 ways we’re doing it!
For the love of wine… Serious ladies, you know what we’re talking about. The event provides the perfect opportunity to try a variety of wines from local wineries such as Lemon Creek Winery and 12 Corners Vineyards along with a couple distributors offering up some unique samples. Each vendor is highly knowledgeable in their field filling up your tasting glass while giving you the low down on the featured wines of the evening. If you’re not a fan of wine you’re in luck! The Grand Ballroom is located directly across the hall from Jack’s Bar where you can purchase your favorite brew or cocktail to get you through the night.
Oh sweet chocolate, acting as such a confectionery match to wine! There will be no shortage of love and chocolate this year as we present a range of delectable treats from area vendors like Chocolates by Grimaldi & Blueberry Haven who have provided samples, just for you to enjoy! From signature chocolate covered potato chips, chocolatey trail mix, to silky smooth chocolate mousse. Is your mouth watering yet? You will only be able to find them all in one place at Love, Wine & Chocolate!
This year the proceeds from the event will benefit the Center for Women in Transition – a cause that warms the hearts of many. A not for profit 501(c)3 organization that works to end domestic and sexual violence against women in our community. As a nonprofit, the Center for Women in Transition relies on the support and generosity of our local community and are thankful for every individual, business, and group who take a stand against domestic and sexual violence, and chooses to walk alongside their agency to work to end violence. We are pleased to partner with them, and hope it gives you the warm and fuzzy feeling that your ticket sales goes to such a dedicated organization.
Love music? Then you’re going to adore veteran performer and West Michigan Native Jack Leaver. You might recognize the name as a common solo performer on Jack’s deck during the warmer months. A multi-faceted musician with raw vocals and diverse music sensibilities he captivates audiences of all generations which also means he’s an event icon playing at the Grand Haven ArtWalk Kick-off, Muskegon Humane Society’s Dash for Dogs event and now Love, Wine & Chocolate. Also he appeases our Marketing Director with Tom Petty, making him an insta-hire when available. (:
