The largest of its kind, the Musical Fountain has been a spectacle of Grand Haven for over 50 years! Debuting in 1963, the fountain quickly became a major downtown tourist attraction. Recent upgrades to the lighting, plumbing, music playlist, and more have enhanced the famous show. The fountain now has stronger water pressure raising the dancing streams of water even higher in elevation and the new LED lights create tens of thousands of color combinations for your viewing pleasure. Nightly shows run Memorial Day through Labor Day and last twenty minutes in length with a variety of titles and themes. The waterfront stadium and boardwalk offer the perfect view; however, boats can often be seen idling in the Grand River Channel during the show. If you’d like to watch the show from the comfort of your car, just pull into the marina parking lot and tune your radio into FM 88.7 to get the full water show experience.Whether you’re a local, or a visitor, the Musical Fountain is a historical prize that offers entertainment for all ages. We encourage you to walk the boardwalk, grab a delightful ice cream cone from Sweet Temptations (located at Chinook Pier next to the Waterfront Stadium and Marina Parking Lot), sit back, relax, and enjoy the show.
