Great Lake Kite Festival

The Great Lakes Kite Festival is one of the only kite festivals in our nation. The Chicago Fire Kite Team will be demonstrating their stunt kite skills at the Grand Haven State Park all day Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19. Also, Saturday at 10 PM there will be a Night Flight! Come see dozens of kites light up the sky.

While you are at the beach, stop by the big, yellow MacKite tent. Mackinaw Kites & Toys will be selling kites, spinners, beach toys, LOVE Michigan apparel, and more! If you are looking to purchase your child’s first kite, MacKite offers the Easy Flyer Delta in a variety of designs: sock monkey, frog, fairy, mermaid, air plane, and a butterfly. If the Chicago Fire Kite Team inspired you to take up kite flying as a hobby, the Switch stunt kite allows you to progress into an experienced flyer with its single line to duel line switch capabilities.

The Grand Wedding in Lake Michigan!

Channel 95.7 is hosting the first ever Grand Wedding in Lake Michigan. Morning radio hosts Connie and Curtis will officiate the ceremony allowing couples the chance to get married for the first time or to renew their vows right in Lake Michigan. Channel 95.7 invited us to be part of this special event, by providing space for the wedding reception. Together all participating couples are welcome to celebrate with friends and family on our great lawn. It will be a complete reception atmosphere with Channel 95.7 providing food, flowers, DJ, cake, photographer and more.

Lakeshore Business Expo

2013 Lakeshore Business Expo BoothThe Lakeshore Business Expo put on by the Tri-Cities and Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber, was a hit with staff and attendees yet again! To start the event or Front Desk  and Revenue Manager manned the booth, with our Director of Sales and Corporate Sales Manager stopping in to finish the evening. We gave away some extra Glowing for Grand Haven T-shirts, piggy banks, and candy! It was great to see some of our business partners as well as a few new faces. Thanks to all those who stopped by to see us, and won something. As summer kicks in we hope to see you out at Jack’s!

Mother’s Day Buffet

We can’t believe it either, May is quickly approaching, and with it brings Mother’s Day! The day mother’s look forward to all year long as they receive recognition for all their hard work with breakfast in bed, flowers, and another colored picture to hang on the fridge.

Ok, Mother’s Day may not be all that glamorous but at least you can relax with your family at our Mother’s Day Buffet, mess aside.
